The iSchool formally opens the academic year with its annual Faculty Convocation at Heroy Auditorium. Faculty, staff, Ph.D. students, and other iSchool members hear from Dean Elizabeth D. Liddy about her vision for the upcoming year, and recognize iSchool members who celebrate anniversaries with the University.

Nicholas Mirzoeff, profesor of art and art education at New York University, will delvier the opening lecture of the English Department's 2008-09 Colloquium Series on Word and Image. The lecture will be held at 3 p.m. on September 12 in HL 500.
